Steroid Injection

Corticosteroids are strong anti-inflammatory medicines that may be used for patients who do not improve with conservative measures.

The medication is injected into the joint, under ultrasound guidance, and results in reduction in pain and inflammation caused by the underlying arthritis. During this procedure we are also able to remove or drain any excess fluid that has accumulated in the joint. Long acting steroid injections also available.

Viscosupplementation Hyaluronic Acid (Gel Injections)

Viscosupplementation, also known as hyaluronic acid, is a gel-like lubricating fluid that is injected into a joint under ultrasound guidance.

Injecting hyaluronic acid into the arthritic joint will act as a shock absorber and will help facilitate movement, reduce pain, and keep the arthritis at bay.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
