Shoulder Impingement Syndrome Home Exercises

Shoulder injuries are common in both pediatric and adult athletes. In both groups, there are numerous causes of shoulder pain. One of the most common shoulder injuries we see in adolescents and adults is Shoulder Impingement Syndrome (SIS), a condition that results in “pinching” or compression of the shoulder structures in the narrow space between the bones of the shoulder. This leads to pain, inflammation, swelling, tendinitis, and overtime may lead to tearing of the Rotator Cuff tendons.

In this video, Hannah and Michelle, our awesome Athletic Trainers At PCSM Physical Therapy, demonstrate 3 quick and easy home exercises to combat SIS. Do these exercises daily, for at least 5 minutes each, and you will see results!
